Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County Welcomes New Hematologist/Oncologist to its Medical Staff
August 7, 2014Officials at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County (MHMHC) announced today the addition of Dr. Nathan Langer, Hematologist/Oncologist to its medical staff. Dr. Langer began seeing patients on August 4 at the Ravenel Oncology Center, 320 Hospital Drive, Martinsville. Appointments can be made by calling 276-666-7827.
Dr. Langer comes to Martinsville from Cleveland, OH, where he recently completed a Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center- Case Western Reserve. Prior to completing his Fellowship, Dr. Langer served as a Hospital Medicine physician also at University Hospitals Case Medical Center- Case Western Reserve.

Dr. Langer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Wabash College (Crawfordsville, IN) and obtained his Medical Degree (MD) from Indiana University School of Medicine (Indianapolis, IN). He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospitals Case Medical Center- Case Western Reserve and is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Langer has also completed several research projects to include serving as a presenter at the American Society of Hematology’s 2013 Annual Meeting and Exposition.
Dr. Langer has experience in managing and diagnosing a variety of blood diseases and has a special interest in sickle cell anemia disease. He treats all types of cancers. In his free time, he enjoys running marathons and half-marathons, reading and cooking, especially Paleolithic dishes.
