Critical Care

Sovah Health - Martinsville offers comprehensive Critical Care services for coronary, surgical and medical patients. Our unit features 16 large private rooms, a new physician/family consultation room, sophisticated monitoring technology, and a family waiting area. We have found that this layout allows us to provide optimum patient care and privacy.

Moreover, you will find that our unit is staffed to provide the highest level of multidisciplinary care in a critical care setting. We have a Hospitalist, who is a doctor that specializes in taking care of patients in the hospital setting in our unit up to 12 hours a day to meet the needs of patients and families. We have consulting capabilities of an Intensive Care Doctor who works with Hospitalists and the CCU team, rounding on the unit every morning. Families find that our intense staff training, team concept, increased capabilities, and caring touch reduces the need to transfer patients to other facilities...keeping them closer to home and the support of loved ones.
